Senior Consultant

Location: Sydney, Melbourne

Senior Consultants at Germane provide expert advice on topics within our service areas. This role makes a difference for our clients and helps grow Germane’s capabilities and impact on our clients and the community. This role is best suited for people with 2-6 years of relevant experience.

About You

We will ask you to make an impact by applying your passion for the subject matter, skills and experience to problems you know, and those you don’t. You’ll need to be comfortable with uncertainty, and tackling problems that don’t always have a defined solution. 

Building automation and new capability is important to us, so any familiarity with, or willingness to learn some software development skills is a plus, as is appetite to learn AI-enabled ways of working. 

Responsibilities

• Analyse and assess client cyber security or data/AI governance needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Directly support clients through delivering our service offerings.
• Develop internal capability, service offerings, accelerators, and other IP to aid Germane Advisory in its support of clients.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and threats in cyber security or data/AI governance.
• Prepare high quality reports and recommendations for clients.
• Participate in research and knowledge sharing internally and externally.

Selection Criteria

• Two or more years active work experience in full-time cyber security or data/AI governance roles.
• Proactivity and engagement with your capability community.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team, both in-person and remotely, and communicate effectively with co-workers and clients from cross-disciplinary skillsets.
• Strong analytical and reasoning capability, including considering issues from diverse perspectives and respectful engagement with differing viewpoints.
• Ability to work independently and meaningfully contribute to multiple projects.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, AIGP, SANS, Cloud Service Provider certifications etc).
